Carefully selected by our Head Distiller Cameron Syme, Directors Cut epitomises the very best of our single malts.

For this release (M579), Cameron has selected a delightful Peated Sherry Cask Whisky (61%).

This limited, single batch release has been specially chosen from Cameron’s premium reserve of barrels for its exquisite quality, rich taste and aroma.

Made at our distillery on the edge of Princess Royal Harbour, it has been aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a Sherry cask for an elegant and complex result.

Each barrel will exhibit its own unique characteristics, creating slight variation from batch to batch.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE

Rich sherry notes, wafts of stewed raisins, oak and vanillin. The peat is subtle and appears as a background note.

PALATE

Incredibly smooth. Sweet sherry and malt flavours, followed by rich chocolate, prunes and stewed fruits. Peat flavours arrive after the sherry notes.

THE FINISH

Long finish. Nice creamy mouth feel remains with the chocolate sherry notes.
