The home of Limeburners Whisky was founded in 2004 and was the very first distillery to legally make Single Malt Whisky in Western Australia.
Located on the edge of Princess Royal Harbour, Great Southern Distilling Company leverages Albany’s pristine water, pure air, abundance of local produce and cool marine climate.
What’s in the name?
Just a short distance from the Albany distillery lies the National Heritage listed Limeburners point where Convicts were once sent to create kilns to burn limestone to make lime for the building industry.
Their 7 day process is the same time we dedicated to making each barrel of whisky, and is a connection with Albany’s convict past.
