Our Directors Cut whiskies epitomise the very best of Limeburners’ single malts. Each Directors Cut release is a single barrel that is carefully selected from our Directors select reserve of barrels, and each is a limited expression.
This release (M335), Cameron has selected a ruby red Peated Port Whisky (61%).
Made at our distillery on the edge of Princess Royal Harbour, the malted barley in this whisky has been smoked using locally sourced peat from the Valley of the Giants. It has been aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in Port casks for an elegant and complex result.
NOSE | Raisin, with sticky date pudding, crème brulee, and hints of cherry.
PALATE | This well-rounded whisky exhibits notes of cherry, charred maple syrup, and caramelised sugar.
FINISH | Slight charred finish with sweet undertones.
